Decentralized Arts Funding recipients met recently in a ceremony that not only included their over-sized award check for DAF 2013, but performances, lunch and camaraderie. The event was held in the James D. Moncus Theatre in the AcA building in Lafayette and was hosted by the AcA's Community Development Director Gwen Richard and AcA Executive Director Gerd Wuestermann.

Guest performances included Donnie Bolden Jr., who sang a gospel song; actors from the Cité des Arts' current show Cabaret; Synergy Dance Production dancers; poetry readings; and an a cappella rendition of Summertime by Patsy Bienvenue.

After the entertainment, each recipient was presented with a check for 2013. This year the grant award to Abbey Players was presented to Don Domingue, Treasurer and Board member of Abbey Players, Inc.
