By Cailyn Simon, FIEB 4-H Reporter

Proper basketball passing and shooting was the topic of conversation at the FIEB 4-H meeting.

Ava Couvillon and Ali Prejean, both eighth-grade 4-H members presented a project demonstration to the 4-H members. They showed the proper way to hold a basketball and how to make a chest and bounce pass. All members were interested and learned a lot.

The seventh and eighth grade FIEB 4-H club meeting was held on November 7, 2012.

Club President, Seth Suire, called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Zane Guidry and the 4-H Pledge was led by Andre’ Schexnyder. Ava Couvillon called roll and read the minutes of the last meeting.

Treasurer Colt Hardee gave the treasurer’s report. CRD chairmen, Anne Marie Broussard and Kain Broussard, reported that the club had held a Halloween dance, sold pickles for the 4-H foundation, and sold candy and chips to help raise money for AR prizes.

I, Cailyn Simon, gave the reporter’s report. Brennon Sagrera, Dane Abshire, Nick Campisi, Hannah Guidry, and Keegan Gaspard reported on old business. The new business was given by Maci Gaspard, Zane Guidry, Lexie Feverjean, Ally Marceaux, Victor Stelly, Connor Simon, and Tori Doucet.

Co-Vice Presidents, Sydnee Gaspard and Ali Prejean did a jeopardy game about Thanksgiving facts on the Promethean board with the club. The meeting was turned over to Mr. Hilton Waits, who handed out certificates and cash awards.
