Damien Trahan, 20, may be in Mexico, according to reports by the Erath Police Department.

Erath Chief Gerald Hebert said Boarder Patrol agents saw Trahan crossing into Neuvo Laredo, Mexico the Saturday after he went missing.

Hebert said the board patrol was not aware Trahan was missing and even spoke to him.

Regina Zeringue, his mother, confirmed she talked to Chief Hebert about her son being spotted in Mexico. She said she was glad to hear to he was OK and talked to someone. Zeringue said her son was seen riding in another truck with someone else. Zeringue said is working to try and get a hold of the man her son with seen with.

Her other son, Justin, is en route back to Erath after spending a week near Corpus Christi, Texas searching for his brother. Zeringue said a search party is in the process of being formed to go into Mexico and search for Damien Trahan.

She said if he is found in Mexico, the law can not make him return of Erath. She just wants her son to call her and tell her that he is OK.

Damien Trahan went missing a week ago. He was seen leaving his job at Champagne’s Supermarket in Erath. His family reported him missing two days later.

Trahan’s truck was later found empty near Corpus Christi, Texas. The vehicle was not damaged and it was locked when it was located.
